Quebec Builds on Creativity

I am very pleased to co-chair this important international event as it is one of the Quebec government’s priorities to help our regions to become more creative and successful through efficient use of information technologies.

Our government’s national policy on rural development recognizes the need for citizens, institutions, businesses, as well as local and regional organizations, to have easy access to these new technologies. These are instrumental in supporting our communities economically, socially and culturally. Widespread IT implementation throughout Quebec makes it easier to implement new private and public services delivery systems and favors wider territorial occupancy by new residents. Information technologies also help regions to get together with a new sense of solidarity.

The CEFRIO helps rural and urban communities throughout Quebec to be more creative in service delivery. The Government of Quebec proudly supports the CEFRIO in its efforts to expand its mission and share its expertise and knowledge for the benefit of our citizens through the use of new information technologies.
